About the Project

Challenge:

A retail brand (nuts and confectionery products) needed a Shopify store with India-specific requirements that standard Shopify couldn’t handle out of the box: a “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” promotional structure, GST-compliant invoicing, and an automated sync with Zoho Books that accurately mapped order line items — including tax treatment — without manual reconciliation. Previous attempts at the Zoho integration had resulted in GST mismatches and incorrect line item mapping that created accounting errors.
 

Our Solution:​

We built a custom Shopify theme with the promotional logic handling Buy 3 Get 1 Free at the cart level with accurate discount attribution. The Zoho Books sync was rebuilt via Zoho Flow with corrected GST tax line item mapping — distinguishing CGST, SGST, and IGST correctly based on delivery state. Order data, product details, customer records, and payment status all sync automatically on order completion, eliminating manual data entry between the store and accounting system.
